ITINERARY

A visit to the City Walls includes the Bell Tower and the Drum Tower. The Wall is 12m high, top widths of 12 to 14m and base width of 15 to 18m. A large iron bell marked the time each day. West of this tower is the Muslim Quarter where a restored street accommodates craft people and traders. The big Goose Pagoda is located to the south of the city and can be climbed to gain a view of the city surroundings. The Great Mosque is built in Chinese architectural style with most of the grounds taken up by gardens.
